How is COVID-19 going to change cities?
About the Roundtable
In collaboration with ANU Public Policy and Societal Hub, ADC Forum conducted a discussion on the role of cities in reshaping the spatial economy and prosperity of the world during COVID-19 and beyond.
This Roundtable looks at the possibilities of how things can be done differently on clean urban slates, with case examples of functioning new cities, as well as the challenges and opportunities for existing cities.
Subjects in focus included how trends like decentralisation are accelerating during the pandemic, with capital cities such as Brisbane looking to additional CBDs, and what urban ‘mega-regions’ will mean in practice for living and remote working amid changing demographics.
