Zhu Min, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) presided over a dinner, organised in collaboration with Ernst & Young on 18 November 2013, the event was held at the Opera Point Marquee, Sydney Opera House.

This invitation only event was held at a time when the international financial system was still subject to considerable volatility, and Dr Zhu offered insights on the strategies and new economic thinking being pursued by the IMF as well as providing in depth perspectives on global economic forces and their impacts, with a particular focus on the Asian region. Previously, as Chief Economist of the Bank of China, he warned of the Global Financial Crisis two years before it happened, citing US mortgages as his major concern.
