The challenge for Australia is to position itself effectively to make the best of the range of opportunities that will arise from a rapidly growing China, as Australia’s competitors are more than willing to take market share from Australian suppliers. It is important then that we look to the efficiency of our domestic markets and institutions, as well as all aspects of our trading relationship, to ensure we secure, maintain and grow our place in the Chinese market.
